NLC President Joe Ajaero was arrested by DSS operatives at Abuja airport on September 9, while en route to a TUC conference in the UK.
The reasons for his arrest are unclear, but he has been handed over to the NIA. This comes after he was recently invited by the police to answer questions about alleged terrorism financing links.
